Why do liberals and Democrats tell everyone they are for personal liberties but?

The only people talking about the fairness doctrine are Limbaugh, Hannity and the gang. Even if he is interested in bringing it back, it will be a low priority. The right wing radio hosts are talking about it constantly simply to keep their audience riled up.
